God bless eBay!
That's all I can say!
And also there's no such thing as excessive profits.
As has been said many times below, if people wish to pay extra for something, that's up to them. I bought my 360 from eBay (at an inflated price), cos I couldn't wait any longer. And I'm more than happy that I did.... despite the fact Argos got one of their big shipments in about 10 days later!
If I could really be arsed, I'd make a decent amount of money buying Xbox 360 items in and around Aberdeen (there's a healthy stock if all sorts up here) and then selling them on eBay.... but I can't really be bothered with the listing, and the fees, and the posting, and the hoping the Royal Mail delivers, and then hoping the item works for the buyer......
Another way to look at it is, if there is a surplus of items in one area, why not help to spread the items out over all of the UK, through the wonders of eBay, and bring joy to others less stock-heavy???
