Ridiculous that they charge £50 for a game while 4 shops down Tesco do them for £40.

true, but they sell other stuff at no more than other places, plus they have the used game section.
I reckon many don't pay full price as they either trade old games, or are using vouchers from Christmas/birthdays bought by Auntie Vera or someone.

But that's the RRP, so I don't see how it's a rip-off.
If the games are a tenner less somewhere else, then buy them from the other place. Simple. Surprisingly, Game do still manage to sell a lot at these prices.

When my girlfriend buys me a game she will normally buy it from GAME
when i buy a game i buy it from play,amazon or a number of other online retailers.
Game is convienince on the high street and they are everywhere so when mums or dads or the casual gamer who feels a little flushed and take a browse in the shop they dont know or care that they can get the games cheaper. Just feel lucky Aaron that you have seen the light. ;)

Yes game is terrible,in my local store I saw a PRE-OWNED copy of PDZ on sale for £44.99!!! What a rip off

Game are outrageously over-priced - but they're only charging what people will pay. So why don't you ask Auntie Vera et al to boycott Game and buy you Tesco's vouchers instead?
Then not only can you buy a game but probably a nice bag of broccoli to enjoy as well...
