help Hi i got the dlink DI-624+ and the xbox 360 wireless networking adapter. I,v connected the router to my modem and my pc using the instructions and i,v connected the adapter to my xbox 360. when i try to connect it says the wireless connection is not connected. I do not have security on it (WEP key or WPA passphrase). does anybody have any idea on what i should do. i called microsoft they made my try alot of stuff and it didnt work and i called d-link no help. does anybody know what i should do. One last thing microsoft said my router is 100% compatible with xbox 360 live.

re: help D-Link 524+ does not work with offical xbox 360 wireless adaptor, i bought the 360 adaptor for my dlink and it didnt work, so if i was you i would buy a wireless bridge instead of using the wireless 360 adaptor. I went out and bought the dlink DWL-G810 gaming router, i reckon you should do same

re: help hey m8 i have the same problem. I called microsoft up n they say that it is def the router problem. I have a dlink 624+ and for some reason it wont connect. I kno the router/wireless reciever works because it can find the network and also accept the WEP key but i just doesnt want seem to connect the network on the test. I spoke to dlink and told me what to do. Unfortunatley this wasnt successful and i am waiting for an e-mail from a 2nd level level technician. Ahhhh well let me know if you get it working

re: help It seems that i got the same problem. Tried all kind of solution. Havent got any support, but i guess that the XBOX 360 doesn't support the 624+. Don't know what to do now...

re: help Microsoft just didnt design the wireless dongle well at all. Playstations psp connects just fine as well as all wireless cards from all retailers thats why thereis a STANDARD called 802.11x. Microsoft licks balls and their telephone support is just a bunch of no talent cubical monkeys with an internet connection. Lick my balls you yankee fkers you were dumb enough to elect bush for a second term so i cant really rely on your help with fixing my wireless problem. Yes i have the dlink 624+ problem and immmmmmmm hating!

re: help I also have a dlink di624+ and i am having the same problems Xbox tells me that the router is compatible but I think they are confusing it with the dlink di 624 which needed a firmware upgrade to enable compatibility with xbox this is however no firmware upgrade for the di 624+. the xbox does work when hardwired directly from the router.

re: help my recommendation is netgear wireless routers. they work fine. there hav been problems with the 360 wirless bridge from day 1 and it is generally un stable. i strongly reccomend using cable insted, u can by 10 metres from GAME for 10 pounds. alternatlvly crimp it urself u can find cheap parts on googl

I'm having major issues hard wire connecting mine to the 624+ here - after connection to it, all internet connection is lost with DNS server status at 0.0.0.0 which is pants. I then need to disconnect everything and reboot. Majorly annoying.....

re: help Let me change what I said above. The DI-634M router is not compatible with the Microsoft Xbox360 Wireless Adapter IF you update the firmware to 2.01 - the firmware version that is supposed to be "Xbox Compatible". Since I was out of other things to try, I reverted to the 2.00 firmware, and it connected - working just fine now. Hope this helps somebody else too.

re: help i had the same problems what i had to do was call xbox and get the UPP, UDP, and the PCP numbers. then i had to call dlink and have them setup the virtual server on the di-624, and dlink also had me setup a private ip address, then punch all that info into my 360 manually. this was for the dlink 624 rev c3 FW 2.76 i'm unsure if it will work for the other dlink routers. hope this helps guys you can try asking questions but i doubt i'd be able to help past what i've given here bgildred@comcast.net

re: help I have a DI-624+ works fine wired for all 360 game but Call of Duty 3... have to hook up directly to the ADSL modem for that to work. So is it offical... doesn't DI624+ work for 360-LIVE?? I hate DLink... worst support site ever. One trillion different product with more or less same name + a couple of revisions each. List different firmware versions but not all are downloadable. Complete crap... and why is a "gameing" router twice the price of an ordinary? Guess I would have to buy a new "gaming" router... wont sure as hell be an DLink

re: help D-Links just aint compatable with the official x box wire;ess adapters, get a wireless gamer adapter such as the dlink DWL-G810 its great and cheaper than the piece of shiz they call the x box wireless adapter, i have a d-link and the shizzer wont wrk so i had to buy an outside one and wrks fine and is a lot cheaper damn it!

re: help Trust me guys D-link routers arent the only ones that fail to work with the 360 wirelessly. I bought a brand new Belkin N router, the XBOX 360 refuses to connect, even when I have tinkered with the settings, placing the console's IP outside DMZ, opening up the relevant ports, IP assignment and rejigging NAT setting. To be honest I reckon the 360s wireless hardware is just crap period...... Also the XBOX live support staff, dont really know what they are talking about. Unfortunately depending on the time you will get a different call centre and some are better than others.

Hi, i have a gold membership on xbox live, but my son wants to play on line as well but i don't want him afecting my game scores and stuff, the thing is i've found a place to get get free 48 hr gold passes, i tried to use one to set up an account for my son but because he is young it asked me to finnish off the registration but it asks me for my credit card details to continue, i don't realy want to do this as i can get hold of these free passes, why pay if you can play for free!!!, i thought it would take me to the redeem voucher part but it does'nt give me that option, so , can anyone help me with this, thanks in advance, steve.

Please help, got an xbox360 elite for my lad for xmas, and am trying to connect online, can i connect through a laptop which is on a wireless network using the cable that came with the xbox? so far i have got through several stages: network adaptor is 'wired' IP address has been 'confirmed',but now wont connect? re: help I have had a month of frustration with my DLINK wireless router trying to connect wirelessly to XBOX 360. Lots of calls to Xbox support, who haven't got a clue. I got that frustrated yesterday that I decided to scrap my router and start again. I bought a NETGEARWGT624 v3. It took me about 25 minutes to set up and get my laptops talking to the router ( i am not at all technical), then came the crunch I plugged in XBOX 360,went to set up and within 30 seconds the XBOX 360 was coonected wirelessly. The XBOX is now sitting in another room upstairs and is working perfectly. The Netgear router was £49.95 UK pounds. I have wasted that many hours over the last month trying to coneect to the DLINK router, the Netgear has probbal already paid for itself.

Help Help Help Hello Can anybody help my boyfriend stop crying about his computer being broke, our one year old son was messsing about with the control (i dont actually think this is the problem) anyways now when he puts a game in it wont load it goes stright onto xbx dashbard, he is still receiving friend requests and everything else but jus the game nt loading. Yes all u have to do is connect the ethernet cable(free with xbox) to xbox and laptop through the ethernet ports. if this doesnt work keep it this way buy clich START on ur laptop then CONNECT TO then HILIGHT both the bottom LAN OR HI SPEED NETWORK then RIGHT CLICK on one of them and CLICK BRIDGE CONNECTIONS !!! this is what i done and it worked hope it heps !! :D

re: help got a similar problem, all my test pass fine but as soon as i try to play or convo it wont let me. i know for a fact that is the router. d-links are the most worthless pos ever, i work in IT and we have them banned in our company, best fix is to get a new router any linksys will do 10x better job

re: help it doesnt work with DI624+.I saw an other guy in a forum that had this router and it doesnt work but later he bought a DI624 (without+) and it worked so you have to buy a new router if u want it to start. (me too ;(

re: help ok i had almost the same problem i have my xbox hooked up to a modem and into the wall and i try to join xbox live and i bought the 12 month gold subscription pack with the headset and chat pad but i test the connection and the network adapter is wired but the ip fails can anyone give me a ip that is useed for everything or a link to ip cracks but here is somthing that worked for some people 1. Go to ur PC or MAC and click on the start button click on the icon "RUN" then it should be a little box in the bottom left corner 2. then type CMD then a little black box the type "ipconfig/all" then look for the physical address

re: help 3. write the physical address on a piece of paper and go to your xbox make sure there is no Game disc is in the disc tray 4. make sure all the cords are hooked up fine and are not damaged or not OLD! 5. Power up ur xbox 360 console (there is no point of signing in) go to your "system" slide on your dashboard and go to "network settings" option and go to edit settings then go to additional settings go down to advanced settings 6. there should be 4 options choose the Top 1 Alternate MAC address and it gives u that type screen and there is 0.0.0.0 erase that then take your piece of paper and type in the physical address without spaces it (you Physical Address on the piece of paper look somthing like this 00-Ff-64-A4-00-00-00) Take the "-" out 7. submit your MAC address then go to "done" and test "XBOX LIVE connection" and your ip should be wired or connected This Did Not Work For Me I Need To Go To My ISP (Internet Service Provider) and Bring Your Subscription card or buy one at the nearest game store or Wall-Mart and but a gold or silver no point of getting bronze or standard and go to ur ISP and give them the card and say i need to get hooked up to xbox live at home Hope You Read My Advice it is way faster than u think My E-Mail Is zammyflames@
