i clicked on sign in on my account and it says ok and test connection. i clicked on test connection and it says xbox live failed

yo i have an adapter hooked to my 360 and it still shows that my ip adress failed how do i fix that. i have tried many address' but none work plz help.

my live doesnt connnect to any matches or games at all, it just saystesting available games and just sits their trying to find mstches and it never does.
