you need crossover cable between your computer and the 360. on your computer create a home network (with network wizard) with other computers on the network getting the internet connection from your computer. Live should then work. It did for me.

my gate way address does not show up when i click on 'command prompt' and type in 'ipconfig'
what is the problem and how do i find it?
