Actually, people are getting the wrong end of the stick here with regards to when GS are getting stock.
GS are getting limited stock of various items, but GS (well, the stores at any rate) won't have stock available for GENERAL SALE until March.
this is a speculative date mind you., We COULD (if M$ pull their finger out) clear our backlog of pre-order custies within 4-6 weeks, but based on whats happened with the 360 launch so far (M$ is more to blame for the bad handling of this launch then GS are), we are talking worst case scenario of stock for non pre-order custies by approx March. That's assuming that we don't get MORE pre-orders in the meantime. The benefit of going onto the pre-order list is it means that you WILL get a console, we just can't guarantee when it will be arriving. The one thing we can guarantee is if you part with £20 at your local GS store, you will go onto the waiting list and wil be called as soon as a system comes in and we reach your name on the order book.
