Ben, it;s quite simple as to why GAME get stock while GS don't get as much.
GAME has (approx) 400+ stores and they have more clout then GS (AFAIK) when it comes to getting stock. They are HEAVILY subsidised by the various games producers and publishers (one of the biggest sponsers of GAME is Electronic Arts IIRC). On the minus side it means that they must comply with very strict store layouts, but on the plus dies it means that they tend to get a larger allocation of stock when it enters the UK.
