Don''t buy from Dixons
Word of warning. I purchased an xbox 360 package for £509.99 from dixons online store. This was on 12th Decemember as a xmas gift. The order stated 5 day delivery.I placed the order and was relived that I had finely found what I required for a peaceful xmas. I thought to myself I better give them a ring to make sure the order was fine.I phoned the next day and was informed all stock had been destroyed in a fire.Cris back on.Cancel order.Told refund within 24 hours. Go on to EBay and purchase a premium model for £400. Xbox is delivered that day as local pick up.Panic over.Arrive home to find email from dixons saying my order has been disapatched!! 5 working days and its mine. Phone dixons aftersales team to say that I had called earlier and was informed my xbox package was in a fire.I informed the advisor I had just purchased an xbox elsewere and wanted a refund as promised earlier.Advisor apologetic but says I will have to wait till my product arrives as it had now been dispatched.Damn but I now got two xboxs!! I decide to keep the dixons on route one as the pressie for jnr and my sister takes the ebay xbox for her prince.£300 makes a £100 loss but my sister, and xmas after all. True to their word from dixons the xbox arrived 5 days later. Excellent I thought.How wrong I was. Opened package box to discover a core xbox 360 and nothing else. Phoned Dixons aftercare team. I explained that my xbox was infact a core model instead of premium.The stated 5 games,xtra remote and faceplate were all missing. The advisor on the phone was apologetic and said he would order my return labels. That was the 17th December and Im still waiting.Phoned more or less every day to be sold the same old storys.We are busy.You cant take it back to our stores.Please be patient.Blah de blah de blah. Shocking service.£509.99 down as payment of course was taken on the 13th december.Stressful xmas due to santa not delivering.Who knows when I will recieve my refund,if ever.Anyone want to buy a core for £509.99?? Seriously stay away from this shocking company.
